Social media and WordPress advice from one of the TwitterQueens. I can help you with WordPress setup.

Setting up your WordPress blog

We can set it up together. You answer the questions, I get a good idea of what you want, and together we create something that will look like no one else’s.

Your ideas- your light

Your ideas- your light

Then after, you learn to publish your posts and update pages. No need to rely on anyone except for your virtual assistant, if you choose. It’s yours.

Need to find a virtual assistant who is more than familiar about WordPress? We know of several and can help you with that.

If you need a major part of the blog fixed later (you need new photos in the main part, or you switch companies), call me up and I can take care of it. For that matter, so could anyone else familiar with the WordPress system.

Questions:
1. What is the purpose of your blog? Business? Pleasure? Do you have a good solid base and are hoping to deepen it, or are you hoping to expend as well?

2. Will this blog be replacing a static site? (Keep in mind that this is happening more and more. WordPress is more than a blogging platform; it has pages like a website.)

3. Will you want this blog integrated with the rest of your social media platforms/applications? Do you have a Facebook business (fan) page? A Posterous account? A YouTube presence?

4. Do you have an online presence already? A site? Any links should be provided here.

Pricing is relative to the amount of design and work that will be required. An initial free consult is set up after you have filled out this questionnaire and emailed it to us at guercio.diane@gmail.com. After the consult, we will provide you with an estimate for the work required.

Ready to go? To start, we will need at least a half-dozen high quality photos, some information about you and your business, and 4 or 5 posts ready to go. A blog can’t be sent out naked.

That is a great question. I have several sites- one is experimental and I switch templates all the time. This template is Desk Mess Mirrored 1.2 by Edward “Cais” Caissie- it is a free template available right through the Themes section in WordPress. I think my favorite free theme is Suffusion 3.0.5 by Sayontan Sinha. Here it is on 3 different sites : http://towne-country.com, http://heyamaretto.net and http://gotchacoveredde.com . Three really different looks and setups all done through the admin panel- no fussing with code.
