This template is Desk Mess Mirrored 1.2 by Edward "Cais" Caissie- it is a free template available right through the Themes section in WordPress. I think my favorite free theme is Suffusion 3.0.5 by Sayontan Sinha. Here it is on 3 different sites : http://towne-country.com, http://heyamaretto.net and http://gotchacoveredde.com . Three really different looks and setups all done through the admin panel- no fussing with code. That is a great question.
